New Co-Sponsor: Rep. Jim Himes

Rep. Jim Himes
The Open Fuel Standard Act has a new co-sponsor:  Representative Jim Himes (DEM-CT-4). He gets top marks from environmental groups on a regular basis, and is a fan of efficiency measures. Most of the legislation he sponsors directly is financially related and involves tariffs and other types of money matters. He is on the House Financial Services Committee.

Rep. Himes is financially responsible as a legislator and recognizes the positive impact the Open Fuel Standard would have on the American economy. He also is a strong environmentalist and his embrace of the Open Fuel Standard will hopefully send a message to other members of Congress who would like to do something about the environment without costing tax dollars.

If Rep. Himes is your representative, please praise him for his support of this bill (connect with him here). And if your representative is still not a co-sponsor, now is the time to make your best case. Here's how to do that.
